The Mets will take on the Diamondbacks in the third game of a four-game series today. Chris Flexen will try to stop the bleeding against Zack Godley. The game starts at 7:10 p.m. and will be aired on SNY.

Last night, the Mets lost 7-4 to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Tommy Milone only lasted 4.2 innings while allowing five earned runs (six total). Kevin McGowan made his MLB debut and allowed his first run in 1.1 innings of work.

Offensively, the Mets struggled until the ninth inning as their lone run before it was a solo shot by Amed Rosario. In the ninth, the Mets scored three runs highlighted by a pinch-hit RBI double by Dominic Smith and an RBI triple by Rosario. Yoenis Cespedes went 3-for-3 with a walk and Amed Rosario went 2-for-4 with the triple and home run.
