Right-hander Seth Lugo pitched a seven inning complete game in the Binghamton Rumbles Ponies’ 5-1 win Saturday night.
Lugo allowed one run on just six hits, zero walks and struck out eight in his seven innings of work. He threw 94 pitches with 67 of them coming for strikes.
This was the fourth and final rehab appearance for Lugo who is expected to join the Mets rotation next week. Terry Collins says that Lugo will start on either June 10 or June 11 against the Atlanta Braves.
Lugo hasn’t pitched in the majors yet this year after being diagnosed with a slight tear in his right UCL during Spring Training.
