The New York Mets have signed left-handed pitcher Tom Gorzelanny to a minor league deal according to Jon Heyman of Fan Rag Sports. The deal includes an invite to big league camp.

The deal would give Gorzelanny $1 million in the majors and he could earn up to another $1.8 million in incentives. Gorzelanny has a March 24 opt-out date in the contract.

Gorzelanny, 34, pitched only three major league innings in 2016 with the Cleveland Indians. In those three innings, he allowed seven runs on four hits, five walks and four strikeouts.

He spent a bulk of last season in the minor leagues for the Indians and Orioles. He pitched 39.1 innings combined in Triple-A with a 5.95 ERA.

In 12 major league seasons, Gorzelanny is 50-53 with a 4.40 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 7.3 K/9. He’s been better in his career against lefty batters, holding them to a .229/.302/.356 slash line.
