The New York Mets play 14 games in 14 days before entering the All-Star break. That includes seven games against the Washington Nationals, four against the Chicago Cubs and three against the Miami Marlins.
“Right after the Nats we’ve got the Cubs — arguably the best team in baseball right now,” said Terry Collins on Sunday. “We’ve got to be ready. We’ve got to get the ‘A’ game going and maintain it. Right after them you’ve got the Marlins, who are playing very, very well right now. And then back come the Nationals again. I think the next 14 days are very, very important for us.”
