Johnny Monell snapped the 51s four-game losing streak with a walk-off solo homerun, his second hit of the night. Rene Rivera started at catcher but was removed from the game in the third inning as he readies for the call from the Mets as they wait on the status of Travis d’Arnaud.

T.J. Rivera made his first professional regular season start in left field and collected two hits to raise his average to .333 on the year. Brandon Nimmo, Dilson Herrera and Travis Taijeron each had two hits as well. Gavin Cecchini has seen his average drop to .182 after a 0 for 4 night.

Binghamton kept the bats going, scoring six for the second game in a row. Dominic Smith led the offense going 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI, as well as a walk.
