Mets pitching coach Dan Warthen was taken to an Atlanta hospital Thursday after experiencing a rapid heartbeat, general manager Sandy Alderson told reporters at Turner Field.
Apparently it was serious enough that doctors have decided to admit him,
Warthen, 62, has been the Mets pitching coach since June 2008 and is widely credited for the success of the team’s pitching and how they have developed.
We’ll update this story as soon as we learn more. We wish Dan the best.
