Dilson, Herrera

Second baseman Dilson Herrera has been playing well for Triple-A Las Vegas, batting .306 with a .378 on-base percentage over his last ten games with one home run, two stolen bases and six runs scored.

Herrera, 21,  has been in Triple-A since the start of June, when Daniel Murphy made his return from the DL. Until a spot opens up, he will probably remain in Vegas for the immediate future.

In 25 games with the Mets this season, Herrera seemed overmatched, but showed some flashes of his deceptive power and speed. He batted .195 with two home runs and two stolen bases in 93 plate appearances.
