Now that we have taken a look at what the AAA Las Vegas roster could look like, lets see who the defending Champion Binghamton Mets might consist of. This will obviously change because of injuries and players that get released.

Starting Rotation

Gabriel Ynoa One of my favorites and will see AAA soon enough.

Michael Fulmer Numbers not great in Minors but still has tremendous stuff.

Tyler Pill Breakout year with the arm and bat last year. Should see time in AAA.

Rainy Lara Seems like he has been in organization forever but still only 23.

Luis Cessa Solid year at St. Lucie, converted infielder.

Bullpen

Adam Kolarek– Terrible last year but performance in Winter Ball might have saved him.

Cody Satterwhite Should be in AAA but tough to find him a spot. 15 saves and 1.103 WHIP last year.

Dario Alvarez Tough to place, could be anywhere from AA to Majors.

John Church Getting old and wouldn’t be surprised to see cut to make room for someone younger.

Hansel Robles Wild Card of the bunch, good showing in Spring could put him in Majors.

Jon Velasquez Minor League veteran with closer experience.

Chase Huchingson Would be 3rd straight year with Binghamton.

Catchers

Xorge Carrillo Breakout year but needs to play everyday.

Albert Cordero– Mets lost alot of catching depth in Moran and Centeno. Wouldn’t be shocked to see a Minor League Veteran signed to backup Carrillo.

Infielders

Gavin Cecchini Big year for Gavin, needs to show he can hit soon

Jayce Boyd Should be in Vegas based on performance but I don’t see the room to start season.

Wilfredo Tovar– Needs to start playing all over diamond to prepare for utility position.

Jeff McNeil Mets depth at 3B is weak, could get a shot to start at AA

Jairo Perez Minor League vet who can play 1B, 3B, OF.

Aderlin Rodriguez Not good last year, only .650 OPS but still has great raw power.

Outfielders

Kyle Johnson– Solid all around player who will see time at AAA too.

Darrell Ceciliani Should start in AAA but need to find room for him.

Eudy Pina Nice year in A-ball should get a promotion but needs to play everyday too.

Travis Taijeron Good power but no position and strikes out a lot.

Jared King Mets will probably be aggressive with him since he is already 23.

This is a tough roster to figure out this early but it really speaks to the level of depth at the AAA and Major League level that a lot of guys might need to repeat in Binghamton. I could see Ceciliani, Boyd, Tovar, Robles, Satterwhite, Pill, among others all at AAA to start the year if they had room. I would like to see guys like Paul Sewald and Matt Koch start at AA and could happen if some guys are released. This Binghamton team won’t have the prospect star power of last years team but should still be very competitive.
