I say again, no reason Matt den Dekker shouldn’t start next season in Binghamton. There’s no clear cut ‘MUST promote and play everyday’ guy from St. Lucie to Binghamton, and from Binghamton to Buffalo, there’s only Sean Ratliff. So next year in Binghamton, you can have den Dekker, Guzman, Maldonado and Rafael Fernandez, with the odd one out DHing. Anyway, den Dekker is hitting .413/.478/.550/1.028 in his first 80 ABs in Savannah. He, Robbie Shields and Jordan Abruzzo had multi hit games, while Travis Ozga, Juan Torres and Cody Holliday took 0-fers. The Gnats had 10 hits and a 5/10 BB/K, while going 5 for 18 (.278) with RISP and leaving 8 on base. Gabriel Zavala picked up the win with 3 innings of relief, allowing one UER.
