There’s a rain delay in Savannah right now. It’s 2-2 in the 13th inning, and who knows when it’ll resume, or if it will, so I’m gonna go ahead and post the report as is. I’ll put the Savannah game at the top of tomorrow’s report.

Bobby Parnell continues to pitch very … weirdly. Including tonight, he’s gone 24.2 innings in AAA, with 14 walks and 27 strikeouts, but has an ERA over 5. Dylan Owen’s second AA outing was good, he gave up 2 runs on 5 hits in 5 innings, but he took a ND after Jose De La Torre gave up 2 runs (1 earned) over his inning. Ruben Tejada had another hit today, he’s now got a 6 game hitting streak, and is 9 for 20 over the 6 games.

Michael Antonini had a good outing today, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits in 6 innings, but he took a ND. Josh Stinson took the loss, after giving up a run on 2 hits in 2 innings. Roy Merritt pitched a perfect 9th. The Mets had 6 hits and 4 walks, but were just 2 for 8 with RISP, left 8 on base, and struck out 7 times. Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Jose Coronado (0 for 3, .235) took the only 0-fers, no Met had a multi hit game.

Kyle. Allen. Allen finally had the start we’ve been waiting the better part of 2 months for. He went 8 innings, allowing just a run on 7 hits for his 4th win. In 3 of his last 4 outings, he’s allowed 2 runs on less over 6 innings or more. His ERA over those 4 outings, spanning 23. innings, is 2.28. For the first time all season, Allen didn’t walk anyone. Jose Bierd pitched the 9th for his 2nd save.

The Mets had 8 hits and 3 walks, while going 2 for 6 with RISP, and leaving 6 on base, along with 6 strikeouts. Stefan Welch and Joey August had multi hit games, while Josh Satin (0 for 4, K, .312), Sean Ratliff and Rylan Sandoval (0 for 3, run, BB, K, .176) took 0-fers.
