Good Morning Mets Fans. The Metropolitans (4-3) will look to take the series tonight in Philadelphia (3-4) as Matt Harvey toes the rubber for New York. The Phillies will send veteran, Clay Buchholz to the mound to oppose the Dark Knight.

Yesterday, Jacob deGrom willed his way through six innings of work without his best stuff. He struggled with control early on and the Phillies got to him early as he allowed two runs in the first inning. The deGrominator though was able to buckle down and not allow any further damage. Jake continues to show just how good of a pitcher he is, especially when he does not have his quality stuff. Jay Bruce had himself a night in Monday’s 4-3 victory over Philadelphia, hitting two homers with three RBI as he carried the Mets to victory. David Wright has begun to throw yet again. The Mets captain has started to toss the baseball as he looks to build up his arm strength once more. Tempers flared in Monday’s game as Asdrubal Cabrera had a purpose pitch thrown at him by reliever, Edubray Ramos. The Phillies pitcher was reportedly upset of Cabrera’s bat flip from the previous season which he performed after hitting the monster walk-off homer against Philadelphia in extra innings at Citi Field.
