Coverage of the draft will begin on NBC and Peacock at 1:00 p.m., providing viewers with a pre-draft show until the White Sox make the first overall selection in the draft at 1:30 p.m. Picks one through ten will be shown on NBC and Peacock, then picks 11-40 will switch over to MLB Network, MLB.com, MLB.TV, and MLB+.
The remaining selections (41-135) are available on MLB.com, MLB.TV, and MLB+.
The Mets won’t make their first round selection until pick 27. They moved back 10 spots in the draft due to exceeding Major League Baseball’s competitive balance tax threshold. The Mets also forfeited their second-round pick due to signing Bo Bichette in the offseason. This means the Mets’ total spending allocation is $6,730,900 and the slot value of their first pick is $3,466,500.
Mets’ Day One Picks
First Round: No. 27 ($3,466,500; pick dropped 10 spots due to CBT rules)
Third Round: No. 92 ($859,900)
Fourth Round: No. 120 ($645,100)
