The Divison Series for the 2023 Major League Baseball postseason begins today.

The Rangers, Twins, Diamondbacks, and Phillies all swept their wild card rounds and advanced to the Division Series in their respective leagues. In the three-team Wild Card era, the only series to go the full three games was the Mets and the Padres in 2022.

All four series begin today with exciting Game 1 matchups. The Rangers and Orioles begin the slate of games at 1:03 p.m. Eastern time.

From there, Minnesota will play at Houston, Philadelphia will play at Atlanta, and then Arizona will finish the day at Los Angeles.

Check out brief previews of each game below, and follow along in the comments!

GAME 1: TEXAS RANGERS AT BALTIMORE ORIOLES, 1:03 PM, FS1

Pitching match-up: Andrew Heaney vs. Kyle Bradish

The Rangers’ reward for beating the 99-win Rays is the 101-win Orioles. Yeah, seems unfair, but when the Rangers are clicking, they are one of the most dangerous teams in baseball.

On the other hand, the Orioles are still underrated coming into the American League Division Series. Despite coming in as the best team in the AL, FanGraphs has given them the worst odds of winning the World Series.

In this matchup between two powerful teams, Kyle Bradish takes the mound for the Orioles. He had a sneaky good year and finished with a 2.83 ERA in his age-26 season.

On the other side of the mound will be Andrew Heaney. The lefty had a 4.15 ERA in 147 1/3 innings, a down year from his 3.10 ERA with the Dodgers in 2022.

GAME 1: MINNESOTA TWINS AT HOUSTON ASTROS, 4:45 PM, FS1

Pitching match-up: Bailey Ober (8-6, 3.43 ERA) vs. Justin Verlander (13-8, 3.22 ERA)

The Twins ended their 19-game postseason losing streak by sweeping the Blue Jays.

Now, they have the daunting task of facing the defending World Series champion Astros. Former Met Justin Verlander takes the hill for the Astros and will look to get an early edge against the Twins.

Meanwhile, the Twins will counter with 27-year-old Bailey Ober, who finished the season with a respectable 3.43 ERA in 26 starts. He never faced the Astros this season.

GAME 1: PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES AT ATLANTA BRAVES, 6:07 PM, TBS

Pitching match-up: Ranger Suárez (4-6, 4.18 ERA)vs. Spencer Strider (20-5, 3.86 ERA)

The Phillies and Braves begin a rematch of last year’s 2022 National League Division Series.

Ranger Suárez takes the bump for the Phils and looks to repeat history against a stronger-than-ever Braves team.

Strider will take the mound for the Braves. While the right-hander had a higher 3.83 ERA this season, he still led the NL with 20 wins, 281 strikeouts, and a 13.5 K/9.

Game 1 is never a must-win for either side, but if the Phillies pull one out in Atlanta, then the Braves will have to face Zack Wheeler and Aaron Nola in the next two games.

GAME 1: ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS AT LOS ANGELES DODGERS, 9:20 PM, TBS

Pitching match-up: Merrill Kelly (12-8, 3.29 ERA) vs. Clayton Kershaw (13-5, 2.46 ERA)

The Diamondbacks handled the Brewers with ease in the Wild Card round and now get another crack at the Dodgers in the postseason.

Merrill Kelly had another underrated season and takes the mound for the Snakes. He finished this season with the fifth-best ERA in the NL and will look to steal a game in LA.

The Dodgers will counter with their ace, Clayton Kershaw. The lefty missed some time this season with injury, but when he was on the mound, he dominated. In 131 2/3 innings, Kershaw went 13-5 with a 2.46 ERA. Kershaw is also 22-12 with a 2.73 ERA all-time against the Diamondbacks.
