Baseball America’s Prospect Hot Sheet for the week ending May 31st has Mets top prospects RHP Zack Wheeler and 3B Wilmer Flores both ranked in their Top 10 at No. 4 and No.10 respectively.
Both Flores and Wheeler have sen their stocks rise considerably so far this season, especially Flores who did some back-sliding last season.
Each have been dominating in their respective leagues and are bucking for promotions to a higher level and deservingly so.
It seems that every week a Mets prospect finds his way onto these Baseball America Hot Lists. So far we’ve seen Cory Vaughn, Travis Taijeron, Matt Harvey and others figure prominently on these lists this season, and this is the second time for both Wheeler and Flores to make the cut. It’s a great indication of how far the Mets minors has come in the past year. Lets keep it going!
