Sandy Alderson may not be actively shopping third baseman, but he has gotten at least two offers according to Heyman.
Alderson spoke to reporters last night and said, “he did not anticipate trading David Wright this winter”.
I’m pretty sure that if one of those offers bowled him offer, Wright would be an ex-Met tonight – rightfully so. With our rebuilding process in full bloom, I see no reason to keep Wright.
As with Reyes, we never won anything with Wright, so lets cut bait and not do this re-build half-assed (pardon my french).
The other thing is I always considered Reyes and Wright joined at the hip. Now that Reyes is gone, it seems weird having Wright without him.
