travis d'arnaud first hr

Congratulations to Mets top prospect Travis d’Arnaud who got just enough of a Rick Porcello fastball to send it over the left-center field wall for his first career home run.

It was a two-run shot in the fourth to put the Mets ahead 3-2 at the time, and after a hearty round of congratulations from his teammates, the crowd at Citi Field clamored for a curtain call to which D’Arnaud obliged them with a quick wave of his cap. The home run also marked the first two runs batted in of his career.
