I had one of those mornings this morning… I think it was because I didn’t have any coffee.

Hey, I can’t wait to see Pedro take the mound tomorrow afternoon at Shea. Yesterday he said he feels sharper than he did during his first start and that he expects to throw more pitches than the 76 he threw against the Reds.

I think Carlos Delgado is snake bit or something… The only two times this season when it seemed he was about to turn his season around, he gets hurt. Yesterday during the game, Omar was in the broadcast booth and said there was a possibility that he could even miss the post season. He then said that he didn’t believe that would be the case though. Damn Omar, say it, don’t spray it…

Can somebody please wake me up when Jeff Conine gets a big hit for this team. I’m tired of waiting for him to impress or excite me, so I think I’ll just crash out for a little bit until he does.

Don’t rip my head off, but I’m really starting to worry about how sporadic and ineffective John Maine and Oliver Perez have pitched lately. OK, I’m not just worried… I’m sitting outside on a ledge on the 17th floor of a building that is overlooking Shea Stadium.

OK, how many of you were really feeling warm and fuzzy when Lastings Milledge got those two standing ovations at the top and bottom of the sixth inning last night? That was some catch he made, and then of course the homerun was just a cherry on top.

I was so sad when the so-called feel good story of the year, Rick Ankiel, was implicated in some new steroids allegations… yeah, real sad… Gimme a freaking break!

Hey Ron Darling, when you called the Phillies loss on Wednesday "absolutely heartbreaking", I hope you wasn’t speaking for us Mets fans. What you called heartbreaking, I referred to as "Hell yeah, let’s get this party started already."

OK, look, I’m sure you’ve all figured out that I have writers block this morning. Maybe it was the lack of caffeine or maybe it was this weird episode of CSI Miami I watched with my girlfriend last night…

Go do something productive and go to mets.com and try and get some tickets to see the Mets in the postseason. You’re running out of time.

Enjoy the game today.
