With the New York Mets signing a couple of highly-rated players during the opening of international free agency on Jan. 15, I wanted to do a quick update on my top 75 prospects before I began doing player write-ups.

Catcher Yovanny Rodriguez was given the top signing bonus in Mets history at $2.85 million (and $150K for education), outfielder Edward Lantigua was given a $950,000 bonus, and shortstop Yensi Rivas received $500,000.

Three other players from the 2024 IFA Mets class I considered were infielder Leandy Mella ($500K bonus), outfielder/first baseman Vladi Miguel Guerrero ($117K bonus, plus $60K for education), and versatile Bohan Adderley ($350K bonus) from the Bahamas. The best tool for Mella and Guerrero is raw power, and for Adderley, it’s pure speed.
