The Mets announced Monday that pitcher Tylor Megill was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder strain. The team recalled RHP Reed Garrett to take Megill’s spot on the roster.

Megill pitched four innings yesterday in his first start of the season, giving up one earned run on three hits and three walks while striking out four. He earned the final spot in the rotation after Kodai Sengas injury in spring training.

New York is open to looking outside the organization to improve the rotation, per Andy Martino of SNY. The team is renewing talks with Julio Teheran, league sources told Martino.
