travis d'Arnaud

Travis d’Arnaud, who has been sidelined since April 19th with a fractured metacarpal in the little finger in his right hand, and Dilson Herrera who has been out since May 15th with a fractured tip of his right middle finger are both headed to Triple-A Las Vegas to continue their rehab with the 51’s.

After going 3-for-4 on Saturday night, and 6-for-16 (.375) overall for the St. Lucie Mets, d’Arnaud who has almost been out two months, moves a big step closer to returning to a Mets club that is so desperate for offense right now.

It is an encouraging sign to see that Travis is picking up where he left off offensively, even if it is just in the minor leagues.

On the other hand, Herrera has also been progressing nicely, going 5-for-11 in three games for the St. Lucie Mets.

Getting these two back will be a huge boost to a team that currently has 13 players on the disabled list.
