Per Jon Heyman of MLB Network, tonight’s finale with the Miami Marlins has been postponed. Tim Healey of Newsday reports that one player and one staff member have tested positive for COVID-19.

Major League Baseball has also postponed the opening game between the Mets and Yankees, which was scheduled for tomorrow.

As of this moment, it’s unknown which player or players on the Mets have tested positive for COVID-19. Andy Martino of SNY tweeted out that the members of the team, sans the two positive cases and anyone currently being investigated by contact tracers, will head back to New York tonight.

Martino also believes that no Mets player has broken the COVID-19 protocols set by Major-League Baseball.

Mike Puma of The New York Post added that the Mets were last tested for COVID-19 yesterday

Before today, only two players on the Mets, Jared Hughes and Brad Brach, tested positive for COVID-19. Both players were screened during intake protocols and did not pass it along to any teammates.

The 2020 season has already seen multiple outbreaks postponing plenty of games. The Cardinals, Marlins, and Phillies have all missed multiple games as a result of the outbreaks.

This is a breaking story and more details will be published when they are made available.
