Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports that third baseman Todd Frazier will most likely join the Mets during this road trip, possibly while they’re in Philadelphia.

Frazier, who is working through a strained left oblique, is scheduled for at least one more game in St. Lucie, so the earliest he could be back with the team is Tuesday.

The 33-year-old has been taking reps at shortstop during these games, as with Jeff McNeil, J.D. Davis, and Jed Lowrie all fighting with him for time at third base, he looks to add some positional versatility.

Frazier hit .213/.303/.390 with 18 home runs and 59 RBIs across 115 games in 2018, striking out 112 times in 408 at bats. He played solid defense, recording two DRS and a 2.4 UZR (3.1 UZR/150) across 954.0 innings at the hot corner.
