Mets’ farmhand Tim Tebow is set to see a hand specialist early next week after exiting Thursday’s game in Binghamton with a right hand injury. Tebow is said to have hurt it whiled swinging during an at bat.
Tebow, 30, is hitting .273 for the Rumble Ponies in 84 games this season.
The outfielder was named to the Eastern League All-Star team earlier this month.
Tebow is having a career year, seeing a spike in almost every offensive category from last year.
His .734 OPS is top 30 in the Easter League, and third on the team of active players with at least 100 at bats.
Tebow has predominantly played left field for Binghamton, and is considered to be a candidate for a call up on Sept. 1.
