As per Ken Davidoff of The New York Post, Steve Cohen met virtually with MLB’s Ownership Committee two weeks ago.

According to Davidoff, several sources have stated that Cohen’s transition into said Ownership Committee has “proceeded smoothly.”

Once the committee approves Cohen’s purchase of the Mets, the Executive Council will follow up with a vote of their own. Finally, a team-by-team vote (in which he must receive approval from 23 of the 30 clubs) would occur, perhaps as soon as a week after the conclusion of the World Series.
