The St. Lucie Mets will start their first season as the Mets Low-A affiliate following the reformatting of minor league baseball. This team will feature the Mets top prospect in catcher Francisco Alvarez and the Mets 2020 first round pick of Pete Crow-Armstrong.

They’re joined by fellow Top 30 Mets prospects (per MLB pipeline) in INF Shervyen Newton, INF Jaylen Palmer, RHP Junior Santos, and RHP Joander Suarez.

The St. Lucie Mets coaching staff is packed with former big leaguers with Reid Brignac as the manager, Jerome Williams as the pitching coach, and Tommy Joseph as the hitting coach.

St. Lucie begins their season on May 4 at home with Suarez getting the start.
