spring training

According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, the Mets say no decision has been made yet on non-roster invites to major league camp among candidates who were with organization in 2015.

He predicts that catchers Johnny Monell and Xorge Carrillo, infielders Gavin Cecchini, T.J. Rivera, Danny Muno and Jayce Boyd, and pitchers Paul Sewald, Chase Bradford, John Church, and Zack Thornton will all get invited to big league camp this Spring.

Additionally, the Mets signed RHP Stolmy Pimentel and RHP Jim Henderson last month to minor league deals and both received spring training invites.

All players on the 40-man roster will report to big league camp including new additions OF Brandon Nimmo, RHP Seth Lugo, RHP Jeff Walters, and RHP Robert Gsellman. Of course some will eventually be assigned to minor league camp as it gets closer to Grapefruit League play.
