Gil Hodges is best remembered for guiding a young upstart New York Mets team to their first ever World Series Championship.

Many still consider that epic battle against the mighty Baltimore Orioles one of the greatest upsets in Fall Classic history.

But Gil holds a few other distinctions in Mets lore having been the first player to hit a home run in franchise history, and did you know he was the Mets’ Opening Day first baseman in 1962?

Since 1980, the Mets have had 20 different Opening Day first basemen. Do you think you could name all of them?

You have a very generous five minutes to prove how well you know the Mets.

Good Luck!
