SNY released their spring training broadcast schedule Monday morning, the same day pitchers and catchers reported to spring training. The first game on SNY will be the Mets’ Grapefruit season opener on Saturday, February 24 at 1:00 pm E.T. The terrific trio of Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling will man the booth this spring, along with field reporter Steve Gelbs.
Former Mets player and fan favorite Daniel Murphy will join the booth on February 27 and 28. Continuing tradition, SNY’s Mets’ Hot Stove will premiere Wednesday, February 21 from Clover Park, hosted by former Mets players Jerry Blevins and Todd Zeile. Pete Alonso, Brandon Nimmo and Francisco Lindor will join the show.
SNY will also broadcast the Spring Breakout Game featuring the top minor league players in the Mets’ farm system on March 15. The Mets take on the Nationals at 3:00 pm before the 6:00 pm game that evening.
