San Diego’s been hard at work reinforcing their roster, trading for Blake Snell (courtesy of Tampa Bay, which is a discussion in itself), signing Ha-Seong Kim, and are close to acquiring Yu Darvish from the Cubs. So, now it’s on Sandy Alderson, Jared Porter, and Zack Scott to strike back.
Whether that means George Springer or Trevor Bauer will be on a fast track to Flushing is unknown, but the Mets are undoubtedly playing offseason catch-up after Monday’s fireworks.
