With the World Series now over the Major League offseason begins with 139 players becoming free agents including seven from the Mets.

Right-handed starter Bartolo Colon, second baseman Neil Walker, outfielder Alejandro De Aza, first baseman James Loney, lefty reliever Jerry Blevins, right-handed reliever Fernando Salas, and utility guy Kelly Johnson have all officially become free agents after finishing the 2016 season with the New York Mets.

Players are eligible to negotiate and sign with any team starting on November 8th at 12:01 AM ET.

The Mets have expressed interest in re-signing all of their free agents to some degree except Loney and De Aza. Walker is expected to receive a $17.2 million qualifying offer.

Yoenis Cespedes is expected to join this free agent group at any time now once he officially opts out of the two years left on his Mets contract.
