The Mets announced via email on Monday morning that team president Sandy Alderson will speak to the media today at 4:30 ET. The media email says that Alderson “will provide updates and answer question” via Zoom.

Alderson is expected to provide an update on the Mets search for front office executives. The one known interviewed candidate is former Marlins’ exec Michael Hill. It’s also been reported by multiple outlets that Rays’ assistant to the GM Bobby Heck is seen as a strong candidate to join the front office.
Outside of that, it’s been mostly news about the people that aren’t going to be hired – David Stearns of the Brewers, Erik Neander of the Rays, and Indians GM Mike Chernoff.
We also know that Mets owner Steve Cohen will be on SNY this Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET.
