alderson passes out

Mets GM Sandy Alderson collapsed while taking questions in a break-out session with reporters after the press conference on Wednesday.

While answering questions for reporters, Alderson reportedly collapsed and passed out. He was out for a few moments until he regained consciousness.

Alderson, 66, suddenly went quiet and began to fall explained Kristie Ackert of the Daily News.

“Reporters and photographers broke his fall and guided him to the ground. After a minute, Alderson was talking and sitting up. He walked out of the room after that saying he was fine.”

John Harper, also of the Daily News, said he looked a bit shaken as he left the room.

A team spokesperson later explained that Alderson had skipped breakfast, felt hot under the TV lights and was feeling a little lightheaded. He was examined by the training staff who said he is now fine.

Wow… Scary moment…
