According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Mets have signed former Yankees infielder Brandon Drury to a minor league deal.

Drury, 28, had a miserable .358 OPS in 21 games for the Blue Jays during the 2020 season. The right-handed hitter had his best overall season (career-high 1.4 WAR) in 2017, when both he and Mets’ GM Jared Porter were in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization.

The former Braves draft pick has experience at all four infield positions and both corner outfield spots.

For his career in the big leagues, Drury is a .248/.296/.411 hitter in 456 games.
