Adam Rubin is reporting that reliever Frankie Rodriguez has been released from custody, and that an order of protection has been filed against him by his wife and father-in-law.
Additionally, Rodriguez cannot see his children until they appear in family court.

The Mets have placed closer Francisco Rodriguez on the restricted list for two days without pay and have promoted Ryota Igarashi from Triple-A Buffalo. Two days’ pay for K-Rod is $125,683.06.
“Ownership and the organization are very disappointed in Francisco’s inappropriate behavior and we take the matter very seriously,” chief operating officer Jeff Wilpon said in a statement.
This is just the Mets trying to buy some time while they figure out what to do next.
If Manuel thought he had problems playing an entire season without a setup man, imagine how he feels now. Or maybe he just sees it as a way to keep K-Rod fresh?
