According to Matt Ehalt of Yahoo, the Mets are expected to activate second baseman Robinson Cano from the injured list in advance of Tuesday’s home opener with the San Francisco Giants.

Cano, 36, has been sidelined with a left quadriceps strain since May 22. The infielder could have been activated Sunday but will instead wait till the team returns back to New York.

On the season, Cano has hit .241/.287/.371 with three home runs and 13 RBI. He has also been worth -0.3 bWAR.
