Mets’ second baseman Robinson Cano exited Sunday’s series finale with the Pittsburgh Pirates with what the team says is a left hamstring strain. He will be re-evaluated on Monday.

Cano, 36, laced a hit to right field in the fourth inning, and while attempting to run to second base, came up lame and was tagged out. He was able to get to the dugout on his own power, but was limping as he did so.

The 15-year veteran missed the better part of a month earlier this year with a left quad injury and will likely miss at least a few weeks this time around.

On the campaign, Cano is hitting just .245/.289/.404 with 10 home runs, but had started to heat up lately, as he was 9-for-his-last-15 as he exited the game Sunday.
