Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that Dodgers first base coach Clayton McCullough interviewed on Thursday for the Mets managerial opening.

McCullough joins Brad Ausmus, Buck Showalter, Bob Geren, Joe Espada, and Matt Qautraro as the known candidates the Mets have interviewed this week to be the next manager.

McCullough, 41, has been in the Dodgers organization since 2015. He was the minor league field coordinator before being promoted to first base coach prior to the 2021 season.

Reminder that the Mets current head of research and development, Ben Zauzmer, worked for the Dodgers from 2015 through the 2020 season.

Before joining the Dodgers, the former minor leaguer was a manager for eight seasons in the Toronto Blue Jays organization.
