drew storen 2

According to Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish, the Cincinnati Reds have reached an agreement with free agent reliever Drew Storen on a one year deal worth $3 million dollars. He can earn an additional $1.5 million via incentives for appearances and games finished.

Storen, 29, had a down year in 2016, going 4-3 with a 5.23 ERA (4.21 FIP) and a 1.335 WHIP in 57 appearances for Toronto and Seattle. However, from 2010 to 2015 he was an integral part of the Washington Nationals bullpen, serving as their closer at times and posting a 3.02 ERA and 1.129 WHIP in 164 relief appearances while racking up 164 saves.
