According to Tim Healey of the Athletic, the New York Mets pursuit of Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto has continued and talks are now revolving around Michael Conforto or Brandon Nimmo over Amed Rosario. Healey says that, “one of those guys – not multiple – would be the centerpiece.”

Rosario’s name has been floated around in trade discussions over the past couple of days, but according to Craig Mish of SiriusXM, at this point he is “not in play.”

Healey points out that the Marlins have rather grown very fond of three of the Mets top prospects. Healey mentions top prospect Andres Gimenez, shortstop Ronny Mauricio, and third baseman Mark Vientos as potential options.

All three of these prospects have been rising through the ranks in recent years, and their loss would be a significant blow to the Mets farm system.
