Omar Quintanilla, John Lannan and Taylor Teagarden have filed for free agency according to Baseball America.

Lannan last pitched for the Mets in April without much success. He finished this season with just five appearances and a 15.75 ERA. Lannan just turned 30 and will begin searching for a new team.

Quintanilla played in just 15 games for the Mets this season, hitting .207/.258/.241. In 46 games at AAA he didn’t play all that much better, slashing .232/.271/.381. Q will turn 33 later this month.

Finally, Teagarden played in just nine games for the Mets this season. He hit .143/.200/.250 as the backup catcher. He also played a lot in the minor leagues this year, compiling 61 at-bats between Gulf Coast, Florida State and Pacific Coast Leagues. The veteran catcher finished with a minor league line of .299/.397/.562. He will turn 31 this winter. 

Neither player is on the 40 man roster.
