It appears the recent trade rumors involving New York Mets starter Noah Syndergaard are not only getting old for Mets fans, but also Syndergaard himself. On Wednesday night, the 26-year old righty voiced his opinion on the matter and MLB Network’s analysis via Twitter.

Syndergaard sent out the above tweet which says “Me watching MLB Network,” with a GIF of “Anchorman” character Ron Burgundy saying, “I don’t believe you.”

Over the past couple of weeks, Syndergaard’s name has been mentioned in plenty of rumor’s. Though Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen said it would take “very special circumstances” to trade the hard throwing ace, Syndergaard’s name was again floating around in rumors throughout the early stages of the Winter Meetings.

According to multiple reports, the Mets were discussing a potential three-way trade with the Yankees and Marlins that would bring J.T. Realmuto to Queens and send Syndergaard across town to the Bronx.

However those talks have fallen through, and at this point the three-way deal is being considered by many as highly unlikely.

Syndergaard, 26, has a career record of 37-22 with a 2.93 ERA and 573 strikeouts over 518 innings. In 2018, he went 13-4 with 155 strikeouts, just 39 walks, and a 3.03 ERA over 154 innings.
