The St. Louis Cardinals stole the headlines on Thursday with the firing of manager Mike Shildt, but there’s still a big Game 5 to be played between the Dodgers and Giants with a chance to play in the National League Championship Series against Atlanta on the line.
The Dodgers made their own waves earlier in the day when they announced they reliever Corey Knebel would get the start instead of Julio Urias.
The right-handed Knebel will likely only pitch an inning or two before giving away to the lefty Urias.
Right-hander Logan Webb returns to the mound after tossing 7 2/3 innings scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts in Game 1 of the series.
