
The New York Mets will look to increase their NL Division Series lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers to 2-0 after taking the first game at Chavez Ravine on Friday night.
Rookie right-hander Noah Syndergaard (9-7, 3.24 ERA) will take the mound for the Mets and go up against fellow righty Zack Greinke (19-3, 1.66 ERA) for the Dodgers. First pitch is scheduled for 9:00 PM.

Last night lived up to its billing! Jacob and Clayton were both masterful, cutting through each other’s lineups but in the end, the Mets did exactly what they needed to, capitalize on mistakes, and scratch out a 3-1 win. Murphy got things started with a solo shot in the 4th inning and David Wright had the clutch bases loaded single to bring in two more runs. On the pitching side, deGrom was fantastic, Clippard flustered a bit, but Familia slammed the door shut.
Tonight it’s Noah Syndergaard’s turn. Noah is 9-7 over 24 starts with a 3.24 ERA over 150.0 innings and 166 K’s. In his last two starts of the season he tossed 14.2 innings, 3 ER with 21 K’s (In his last four starts he has 37 K’s, its insane). He faced the Dodgers earlier this year in LA where he allowed 1 ER over 6.0 innings while striking out 6. The Dodgers have the following numbers against Syndergaard:
