For just the second time this season, Neil Walker is out of the starting lineup. Walker is out with a sore shin, he told reporters this afternoon.
Walker fouled two balls off his shin last night and his ankle is swollen and discolored, although he said it “isn’t as bad as it looks.” He says he will be able to play again starting tomorrow.
Walker is hitting .261/.299/.514 on the year with nine home runs and a double.
