If you consider the comments that Sandy Alderson recently made regarding Jenrry Mejia, none of the names on this list are considered Major League ready.
I find it almost laughable at this point to see how far Fernando Martinez continues to drop in stature whenever these lists are updated. Although he wasn’t actually drafted, considering how hyped he was at 16 years old by the Mets, is it now safe to label him a bust?
Of course at 22 years old there’s still the odd chance he could make something out of his career, but is there anyone out there among you who would bet money on it? I didn’t think so.
