Good Morning, Mets fans! The New York Mets (41-48) take on the St. Louis Cardinals (44-47) at 7:10 p.m. Zack Wheeler has the ball for New York and will be opposed by Adam Wainwright.

Last night was a nightmare for the Mets. They fell into an early 9-0 hole and never clawed back. Steven Matz only went 1+ innings and gave up seven runs. The Mets offense tried to make an attempt but their momentum was stopped by more Rockies offense and poor Mets pitching. The Mets had a chance to make it a 5.5 game deficit for the second wild card but alas, it is now 7.5.
