Good morning and Happy 2020, folks.

Just to recap the last decade, Yoenis Cespedes and a parakeet combined for the most unexpected duo in sports, leading the Mets to the 2015 pennant, a utility infielder (Jeff McNeil) cried his way into our hearts, a brave left-fielder (Mike Baxter) sacrificed his collarbone for his role in the Mets’ first-ever no-hitter, a long-haired shortstop emerged as one of the franchise’s best pitchers (Jacob deGrom), and team captain David Wright gave it all he had up until his last game on September 29, 2018.

We are all looking forward to an exciting decade for Mets baseball in the 2020s.

Here at MMO, we’re honored that you–the readers– have chosen to follow the Mets with us and we’re looking forward to cheering along Jacob deGrom, Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil, and many others with you guys during this next decade.
