Good morning Mets fans! The New York Mets (56-71) split their four-game series with the San Francisco Giants (63-66) as they dropped the final game of the series yesterday by a score of 3-1. Despite Jacob deGrom‘s (8-8, 1.71 ERA) 18th consecutive quality start, some bad defense, luckluster offense and a missed call helped cost him yet another game. DeGrom’s pitching record now stands at an unremarkable 8-8, even though he leads MLB with a sparkling 1.71 ERA.
