Davis collected four hits in five at bats, falling a triple short of the cycle. Noah Syndergaard left in the seventh inning with a hamstring injury after giving up four earned runs and collecting five strike outs.
Sunday, the Mets face the Cardinals in the hopes of salvaging a split in their four-game series. Jason Vargas will pitch for the Mets. The game can be viewed at 1:10 p.m. on WPIX.
