Jeff McNeil will represent the Mets in MLB’s Player League in MLB the Show. His first games will be on Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m. ET. He will face off against Fernando Tatis Jr.(SD) , Luke Jackson (ATL), Lucas Giolito (CWS), and Ryne Stanek (MIA). MLB’s Twitter account and Youtube accounts will broadcast the games, and McNeil will also be streaming from his Twitch account with the handle @jeffmcneil.

Ken Davidoff of the New York Post thinks that Robert Kraft is best suited to be the next owner of the Mets.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today wrote about the newest plan MLB is considering regarding starting the 2020 season. This latest idea involves realigning the divisions according to the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues.

The first ever MLB the Show Player’s League has begun with representatives from five teams playing against one another. In the MLB the Show players league, 30 players, one player from each MLB team, will face off against another major league player in MLB the Show.

Joey Gallo (TEX) was the winner Friday night with a 4-0 record. Amir Garrett (CIN) came out of the night 3-1, with his only loss so far coming against Gallo. Lance McCullers Jr. (HOU) and Blake Snell (TB) each posted a 2-2 record. Trevor May (MIN) came out of the night with a 1-3 record, while Eduardo Rodriguez (BOS) lost all four games that he played.

Today’s matchups include Ty Buttrey (LAA), Jon Duplantier (ARI), Niko Goodrum (DET), Carl Edwards Jr. (SEA), Jesús Luzardo (OAK), and Rhys Hoskins (PHI). The festivities start at 9 p.m.
